Encouragement

Loved today’s Conference, which had a more personal tone compared to previous ones. Sharath shared his love for nature (the tiger is his favorite animal), funny anecdotes from his youth, how the rheumatic fever he had as a kid stiffened his joints and made practice really tough in the beginning, and how he would like to retreat to the Himalayas to meditate and do his practice. These gems stood out for me today. Sweet and poignant.

“You all have the potential to become yogis, you just need the effort, that’s all.”

“All of your lives (are) very special. For me, I’m born into this lineage, this practice. It’s my duty. But you, coming from all over the world, different cultures, different backgrounds, to learn this (yoga), that’s very special.”
