When Yoga Really Counts

June 24, 2011 § 1 Comment

When nothing goes according to plan, people piss you off left, right and center and anger wells up so intensely within that even you start to get scared, that’s when it’s time to step away from the job and onto the mat. And breathe.

I haven’t felt as compelled to do yoga as I do right now, after one of the really shittiest days I’ve had in a while. It’s probably also got to do with accumulated frustration, with trying to always be ‘nice’ and ‘polite’ at the cost of sacrificing my boundaries and comfort. David Garrigues is in town this weekend for a workshop starting this evening and I can’t wait to hear what he has to say. Yoga has never mattered so intently to me as it does now.
